YOGA

Those of you who know me well know I am addicted to the gym! I go at least 5 days a week. But, before I go I lay on the floor under the fan and do my abs here. There is something about putting my body on that mat at the gym.....ick! Dakota always joins me making crunches oh-so-much-more fun! Before we start she does her stretches. It's called down-ward facing dog in yoga lingo! She's so cute!!

BOAT-A-QUE

You know we love to go to sunset! It's an almost nightly event in Islamorada. We also have another tradition - a boat-a-que! We raft up with other friends, share dinner - often Cuban food - and enjoy the water and the sunset together. A lovely tradition - always an enjoyable evening!

A ROSE AMONG THORNS

I'm not much of a desert lover.  I'm a tropics kind of girl!  You know, lush green lawns, blooming red hibiscus, fragrant night-blooming jasmine, wild orchids growing in palm trees.....however, my neighbors have this magnificent cactus in their yard and every now and then as I am walking Dakota I see that it is going to bloom.  The flowers only last 24 hours so we were lucky to catch the bloom this morning.  The bees were there as well!

IBIS, ORCHIDS AND PELICANS

They called to show our house this morning so we took Dakota to the beach.  Jack's sister, Kristen, lives on Beach Road and the walk from her house to the beach is so beautiful.  Dakota wishes they would show the house every day!!

A SPECIAL VISIT

Jack and I have had the privilege for the last 19 years of being godparents to our beautiful Dawn Kimberly Anne Adair.  She and her friend Katie were just here for a visit.  Her Momma - my dear friend, Holly - used to have to bring her for visits.  Now she comes on her own!  How did that happen?  But, we are glad she chooses to spend some of her free time with us.  She is loving, ,charming, funny, fun to be with and an all-around joy!  We love you, Dawnie!
