It was a bittersweet weekend. Saturday I drove to Jupiter for the funeral of my friend, Eve, who died in the diving accident. It was a beautiful service and afterwards we walked to the Jupiter Lighthouse and each put a flower in the water for Eve as Quinn (her fiance)was going out on a Coast Guard boat to leave a wreath at the dive site. From Jupiter I drove to Melbourne to celebrate my god daughter's nineteenthth birthday. Happy Birthday, Dawnie! And see how handsome my godson Ross looked with his new military haircut. He starts Air Force ROTC soon! Go Ross!
This blog started out to be a log of our sailing adventures aboard Freyja, our Downeast 38. It has now become a journal of our daily lives. Jack's a retired pilot and Susan, a retired Emergency Room RN. We have lived and sailed in the Florida Keys for 25 years. Whoops! We sold our Florida Keys home, the sailboat and moved to Ohio!!!
